Walk the windswept wild West Coast where pristine cold waters provide perfect conditions for Kelp to grow prolifically.
Experience first-hand this ancient landscape where Kelp has been caste upon the coast since time began. Discover traditional uses of Kelp and the reason why it was a pivotal resource contributing to the overall health and wellbeing of the peerapper people. You will be able to deepen your understanding of culture; share in their way of life and connect with Country, allowing you to truly appreciate how everyday life would have been for the saltwater peoples of the North West. Visit a locally owned and operated Kelp processing facility to witness how Kelp is handled as a modern resource.
Bush food inspired lunch and snacks will be provided, please ensure you inform us of any dietary requirements. Due to the unpredictability of Tasmanian weather; access and enjoyment of the landscape is weather dependant; your experience itinerary including menu will be confirmed the day before your tour date.
